The Wildcats are a women’s soccer team that plays in the W-League - the largest women’s sports league in North America with 37 teams situated throughout the United States and Canada. The W-League, which began in 1995, was the top women’s soccer league in the country until the WUSA came along in 2001. In 2004, with the WUSA no longer in existence, the W-League returned to its position as the premier women’s soccer league in North America.
