At the start of the season opener MetroStars game, Travel VP Ted Giovaniello and Fundraising Chairperson Steve Scafidi represented the Manalapan Soccer Club to accept a symbolic piece of the sod that the game would be played on.  At the presentation were former MLS Cosmos players Pele, Giorgio Chinaglia and others.  The sod was delivered and installed at the Rec Center on Field B.
