Recap - Nike Spring Showdown

Good morning Parents/Players,

I wanted to thank everyone for a great weekend. It was nice to see the boys play their hearts out. I think that both teams realize now what it takes to compete at a high level in the Midwest. This will allow the coaching staff to push them harder in practice. The bar has been set and now its time to set, then reach, some new achievable goals. Below you will find the statistics for the Black team, thanks to David Fisher's hard work over the weekend. I will be providing an iPad to the Silver team for the next tournament. Again, I would like parents to volunteer for stats, film, and team manager for the May 9-11 tournament in Ankeny. If you would like to take stats but don't feel comfortable we can have a few practice sessions at the end of practice on Tuesday and Thursday.

Goals:
• Become more physical on Defense and especially on Offense
• Have more confidence with the ball; jab steps, pivot, and rip throughs
• Improved Transition Defense
• Team tempo

These are a few goals that Coach Winkler and myself discussed following the weekend.
