MSC Scholarships are available
Dear Coaches and Parents,

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you about our club’s Annual College and Training Scholarship Program. Each year our club offers both  $500 College scholarships for High School Seniors and $250 training scholarships to High School Freshman-Junior year students.  In addition, the Club is also offering 2-$250 Senior Recreation soccer and or Referee scholarships. The program has been allocated $3,000 to give out for these scholarships.

Please take the time to forward this to all your players, family and friends know about this program and encourage as many high school students that qualify to apply. It costs nothing to apply as all it takes is for each applicant to spend a short amount of time to fill out the application and provide a resume highlighting their soccer playing experience from youth to present, services to the club, such as tournament volunteer, refereeing, training, rec coach etc, school awards, activities and community service as well. Also with the application is a grade verification form that the guidance department will fill out and provide proof of the applicants grade average.

Early next week the applications can be found on the Main page of Manalapan Soccer Club Web site under "Scholarships". There are separate applications for each the two Senior & Training scholarships. In the past some years we have received many applications and other years very few. Once again please encourage those players who you know that are in High School to apply. They have nothing to lose! The deadline to get their applications in is May 25, 2008. The awards are presented to the winning applicants at the Clubs General Membership meeting in June.

Click on the continue tab to see the eligibility requirements:
Coaches - Please Send in your Game Reports
Please Read Carefully

Use the link on the left side menu to send an email with your game report.  Remember to only use first names or first names and last initials, mention each player on your team, use only positive comments, and only include the score for U10 and up.  -->As there are two games this week for most teams, please make sure to use dates for the game reports.

Coaches - Please remind your players that no jewelry should be worn during the game, except for medical alert purposes.  Covering earrings with bandaids is not permitted.  This is for the safety of our players, and referees are allowed to remove players wearing jewelry.

Parents - Please pick up a copy of the Goalkeeper newsletter, which is located at the Field Marshall stands.

Coaches: Clarification on Field Usage
Coaches:  There is some confusion about where you are allowed to practice and where you are not, so please note the following:

* No coaches are permitted to practice with their teams at their homes.  The insurance coverage that the MSC has does NOT cover you if anyone gets hurt;

* The Rec Center fields are ONLY to be used if you have a time slot allocated to you.  The use of these fields is to be coordinated ONLY through Ted Giovanniello, who then provides practice and scrimmage times in coordination with the Parks and Rec Department;

* The fields that can be used for practice are:

        - Milford Brook;
        - Clark Mills;
        - Taylor Mills;
